The Cozumel Island Bird Festival is an event that promotes a culture of birdwatching, while highlighting the island as a prime spot for birdwatching. The seventeenth edition of the Cozumel Island Bird Festival will be held from October 24th to 26th. The program includes accessible and inclusive activities such as birdwatching tours accompanied by local guides, lectures, an environmental fair with activities for all ages, and cultural presentations. This event is part of the official theme of World Migratory Bird Day, which in 2025 will be dedicated to promoting more bird-friendly spaces. This is an excellent reason to celebrate not only our biodiversity, but also Cozumel’s designation as a City of Birds and strengthen the harmonious relationship between humans and nature. The Cozumel Island Bird Festival is organized by the Organizing Committee, which includes the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas, the Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation, the Cozumel Planetarium, the Cozumel City Council through the Department of Ecology and the Department of Tourism, the Autonomous University of Quintana Roo, the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council, the Cozumel Birding Club, the Hotel Association, as well as the groups Jóvenes MaB, Go! Aves Cozumel, and Pajareando Cozumel.
